my dog "ping", has recurring ear problems,, (down ear syndrom),, have tried many things, but what works best is 1/3 iso alcohol, 1/3 vinegar, 1/3 water... i use the round cosmetic pads, (better than cotton balls),, and saturate pads, and clean ears once a week, reaching as deep as i can with pad on finger... as long as i stay on top of things, have had not probem for years now.. of course a treat is in order, after the cleaning... hey, wonder if i could sub c/s for the water,, may try.. geo.
