This is Off list as any discussion by me on list would be commercialism.

I've recently found reference to the silvergen as using a 30 RPM stirrer...probably the same motor I use, if that's true. It's probably a rumor based on confusion between generators. The silvergen I have uses one of the 1,600 old stir motors I sold to Trem a few years back when I discarded the whole concept of top down stirring I once used in the "Old Bob" model...now defunct.
 They are very good motors..but...

 That system had 3 problems:
1] that motor was difficult to get turning slow enough to prevent fuzzy deposit build ups on the electrodes. The silvergen I have, has that problem. It's not a huge big deal, but it's avoidable none the less. 2] Exposure of the motor bearing to water vapor tended to corrode it till the motor would no longer turn. 3] You had to turn the stirrer pretty fast to get the water currents to reach the bottom of tall containers which made stir speed related deposit problems around the top where the electrodes are and motor bearing corrosion, worse.

Bottom up stirring completely eliminated all of those problems.
Over the years, I've had three bottom up stir motors give out, one because the container was leaking onto it for a long time, one because the speed controls stayed wet and corroded the wires off and one that just quit. [I replaced all of them for free] Without leakage of container problems cropping up [nearly unheard of] the stir mechanism is absolutely isolated from exposure to water in any form. The thermal system has container tallness limits [overcome is the funnel thing is used] and suffers from minor heat soak [dismissable effects], but has no moving parts to EVER break. Absolutely reliable. [Also looks really cool ]

Another limitation the silvergen has is there is no way to exceed the auto off PPM setting or use bad water in a pinch. You can dial in less PPM, but not more..and the dial is meaningless as the less PPM settings aren't calibrated or labeled in any way.

It's also straight DC operation with no other choices. [and costs more ], whereas, the new puppies give you a choice between the automatic alternating polarity system and straight traditional DC. ..and you can't use alternative power sources on the silvergen [solor panels, car batteries etc ] Other than all that, the two generators work exactly the same, within the same parameters and both are automatic.

If Leanns silvergen has the same motor that mine has and the same ones I sold to Trem, I have a few of those left I held back for "Old Bob" repairs and can replace it for her.
http://www.silvergen.com/colloidal_silver_generator.htm shows that motor.

Did Trem refuse to replace it? [That's really "his" job, not mine ]

http://silverpuppy.com/mailorder.html
Print out order form..or just list items in a note with payment and ship to address. Since I use a virtual terminal to process credit cards, mail order is the only way to avoid using the internets encrypted secure server pathways. Personally, when I use an ATM, [same system as the secure servers, same phone lines] I know something happened and only I and the machines see it. If I use the postal service, there are numerous ways for things to get lost or stolen in that long chain of people and places.
[It happens, just not very often]

Using a direct processing service over encrypted lines is actually safer than using an ATM or a card at a store as it takes ALL other people out of the loop unless you call them in.
The pages that handle that are in the bank servers, not on my website.
Even I don't see your stuff unless you ask me to go and look.

Hi , Ode, I am not replying to this message, but rather to one from Leann, about her Silvergen stirring mechanism breaking. I am rather interested in the Silvergen. I know that there are far less expensive generators available, but I am not very interested in all the particulars, would like a machine that is automatic. It seems that the stirring mechanism can definitely enhance the cs final result. Do you often have trouble with this part of the machine? I seem to recall that in the exchange about Leann's machine that you offered to fix it for her if she sent it in. I would like some input on this before ordering one. I , also, would like an order page, as I don't like to order over the internet . Thanks, Ruth

Bandage companies aren't making claims of "curing diseases" and the fact that ionic silver kills germs has been well known and documented for decades. Mouthwash ads are careful to not say they cure Gingivitis. "Kills germs that cause Gingivitis" is not a claim of a cure for Gingivitis.
 By the same token.....
"Kills 650 disease causing germs" isn't "cures 650 diseases".
The former statement is all over the net, the second could get you into trouble.

Companies marketing these types of bandages apparently have no qualms
about making claims. I wonder if its because their claims don't involve
'colloidal' silver.
