Topical CS/DMSO is what I'd try myself. I'd start with 1 part DMSO to 0 parts CS, if a higher proportion of DMSO is tolerable, use more, but so far I've found the 1/9 ratio effective for most things. If you cannot use regular 99% DMSO due to the odor, try the Dusa 60 from www.jacoblab.com
