Welcome aboard, Cindy! Let me add to the other suggestions a dropperful of 3% hydrogen peroxide in each ear canal. Lay on your side and leave it in there for 20 minutes, or until it stops bubbling. Repeat on other side.
Now, let me add as a caution, I've not personally done this with a fully developed serious ear infection, so go slow. I also would not do it if you have ear drums that are perforated, for obvious reasons. If you can do it successfully, it will kill a lot of infectious critters. I'm hard of hearing, also.
