Nice!
You wouldn't happen to have v4.2 or v5.2 ? 🙂
Andy Hoffman has V4.2 except there is a VMS042MUP tape he needs because you
can't install any layered products without the MUP. So if anyone has one pipe
up and Andy can probably get a V4.2 release created.
Andy posted this on C.O.V 6/14/2019:
Where are 4.2 and 4.3 you ask? I have been able to install 4.2, but I have
been unable to find
the mandatory update VMS042MUP. Without this you can't install any layered
products, so I
stopped at this point. Actually it was fun working on it because if you do
an upgrade rather than
a base install there is a section which updates the system console media.
Fun and games
remembering how to use Exchange and write a DEFBOO.CMD file!
If anyone knows where I can get my digits on VMS042MUP and/or an LSE
distribution for VMS 4
please do get in touch.
Best regards,
Andy Hoffman
I haven't seen a V5.2 but on VAXHaven there is a V5.3 and V5.4-2 on the TK50 images
page <https://vaxhaven.com/TK50_Image_Archive>
However, the V5 versions will require PAKS as the LMF was introduced with V5.0
I have v1.0 somewhere heh
From a message on 5-Nov-2019, Matt Burke has available VAX/VMS V1.0 9Track.net ==>

I'm curious about the possibility of backing down to VMS 5.0 or 4.4 as a
long-term solution. Are there installation files or ISO available somewhere? I
started with VMS back in the 80s using 4.4 on a VAX 8200 and a MicroVAX II. It
seems to me that the system was already pretty serviceable, aside from the need
for third party extensions to get TCP/IP in place of DECNet.
Andy Hoffman did some work producing workable VAX/VMS V4.0, 4.4, 4.6 and 4.7
images. They are/were available here:

What is the earliest version of VMS available for the Alpha? Anyone know?
OpenVMS AXP V1.0Â I thought there was a copy available at VAXhaven
<https://vaxhaven.com/CD_Image_Archive> <https://vaxhaven.com/CD_Image_Archive>
but I was mistaken. The next best thing though is OpenVMS AXP V6.1 and OpenVMS Alpha V6.2
(Yes, the nomenclature did change and they skipped from V1 to V6 for Alpha/AXP to match
OpenVMS VAX).
I seem to recall having seen an OpenVMS AXP V1.0 CD being on Ebay at some point
but I never tried for a copy.
