I would like my Exhibit3 project to emulate this TimeMap feature: https://code.google.com/p/timemap/ example= http://timemap.googlecode.com/svn/tags/2.0.1/examples/kenya.html
In particular, I'd like to mimic how scrolling thru the timeline adds and removes markers from the map. I am way over my head with this and would really like some help. I was thinking one approach for this would be to listen on the item's time stamp value as it passed over max date or min date (basically view able within a range on the timeline) and have the time stamps of these events drive the Date Slider Facet. This setting of the Date Slider Facet would drive everything else, I think. It would pop markers on the Map view. And it would play nice with previously selected choices on other facets Would something like this work? Anyone have an idea about how to derive this value from an item as it came onto a timeline view and set the slider facet handles?
