I'm in a muddle of questioning right now.  Can anyone help me out?
God, help me out here.  [altarlight: There is no "out of here"...only seeing what "here" really is.] What do you mean "suffering is a view of
life"? [altarlight: Suffering is a "view"...but not "of life"...rather it is a view of egoic denial.]  And, "suffering is a choice".  Am I missing something here? altarlight: Not only is suffering a choice, but also elation and bliss. None of these are real, but if you get a choice, you might find elation and bliss more to your taste than suffering. The problem is that, since they are both the same thing (feelings, experience in time), they tend to appear as a package deal. You want one, but you get both...all this "getting" from your wanting, which arises from a sense of lack derived directly from denial of your wholeness.

What is suffering?  Is it really an absence of love? [altarlight: Suffering is one end of the spectrum of experience, and experience always carries that component along with the rest. If people were as wary of bliss as they are of suffering, they might find also a greater willingness to look beyond the dream.]  We do suffer in our humanness.  Suffering is part of the human experience, as is joy. [altarlight: Joy is eternal and is not an experienced feeling. Only when feelings and their framework of time-based experience is absent, can we notice our joy. And yet, it can be intuited, evoking feelings we like and thus often mistake for it. True joy is peace...NOT intensity of "good" feelings. Neither our humanness nor our suffering, nor even our bliss are real. And yet our denial-founded perception tells us we have these things.]  How can we not suffer?  How can we not feel joy?  Yes, a lot of suffering is probably unnecessary and avoidable. [altarlight: Avoiding suffering's appearance is a pleasant but temporary thing. It is requisite that all illusion appear by its nature, and bliss appears to convince you that it is not suffering. Experience comes as a set of experiences, feelings, thoughts, situations, states, modes, attitudes, etc. One can focus on any of these they desire to participate in, but their seeming choices cannot affect the natural inherent value and purpose of experience...which is to deceive. Its nature is to deceive by denial, because the false report of the self and its world was requested by focusing and choosing.  The ego's world of experience, being unreal just like the ego persona, is allowed to appear ONLY in order to disappoint...pushing you back to that which does not disappoint (and which is not experience).]

I feel that we need to respect our humanness, honor our feelings, and allow them to process and release.
[altarlight: We do respect these things...that is how they continually appear as experience. In fact, that gives a general definition of core idolatry. And it is true in a sense that we much allow them to process out...for we are the ones who called them into appearance and manifestation. Since our request also made peaceful eternity seem like experience of time, then within the framework we have determined ourselves to work within, it must take time (which includes process and release). Ultimately, that process is atonement or healing. It is only required because we insist it is required. Nevertheless, it seems that no matter what we do or don't do, no matter what choices we make, this illusory world hangs in there, requiring us to wait through whatever it brings. Yes, we must...and yet, simultaneously, we can look beyond it. Looking beyond these seemingly never-ending processes opens the mind. So, we find that we're not really waiting upon "process and release"...but are instead waiting upon our own restored willingness to look beyond illusion to our true self. And we can restore that at any moment, completely regardless of process or release.
