One does not need to try to blank the perception screen, but simply look at spirit as self instead...a type of looking they are likely unaccustomed to, and which when attempting they often become disappointed because it does not meet their erroneous criteria for "determining" that they are seeing. A subject for another time.
Could this be "another time"? :)
As I think you know, I've been taking that approach of looking as spirit as self, with the understanding that I'm not looking for images or thoughts. I've often had realizations that we've called intuition that initially presents itself as a kind of knowing, devoid of concepts, images, thoughts and words. It seems like my mind immediately jumps in and conceptualizes it and then puts words to it but this is seemingly a 'dumbing down' of the original 'knowing' to satisfy mind/ego.

What I'm wondering is how similar this intuitive experience is to how seeing will ultimately be experienced.
