Not long ago there was discussion about ORBS being a bit more flexible and returning
different results in the 127.0.0.2-127.0.0.255 range depending on the status of the
host queried for. Unfortunately, as I peruse the options, I don't see how I can use
MAPS as I am now and just enough ORBS to get what I want since they both return
results in the 127.0.0.2-127.0.0.255 range. I might want 127.0.0.3 blacklisted for
MAPS but not for ORBS, for example. I don't, for example, want to block mail from
hosts that simply block ORBS relay tests -- ORBS result 127.0.0.3. But if I remove
127.0.0.3 from my blacklist, I lose MAPS DUL blocking functionality. (If I understand
this correctly.)

Why can't MAPS and ORBS stake out different ranges within 127.0.0.2-127.0.0.255 for
their respective results so we can pick and choose among "services" offered?

I make a habit of using Spam Cop to report every spam that gets through my current
SIMS RBL settings. Invariably, Spam Cops reports that these messages would have been
blocked by ORBS. I want to add ORBS checks but I don't want to overdo it, as ORBS has
previously been reported to do.

If you're using ORBS, how much are you using -- which results have you blacklisted?
Just curious.
