To block the port 25 at the firewall level is my ISP policy, so I
have no control at all about this. But if this fact is used as a
reason by the ORBS folks to blacklist a server, they are really
mistaken IMO, since a small listserver doesn't need to be run
24/7, and the SMTP service can be perfectly closed when it's not
needed (incoming mail can be retrieved via a remote POP account,
or through a secondary SMTP server).

Yeah, it's possible, but not very likely. All messages on all
my mailing lists have a footer with a line indicating how one can
unsubscribe, and subscriptions are always double checked to
prevent malicious attempts or misspelled addresses.
So thank you very much for your reply but again, how can I get my
server out of ORBS? I have no idea about the procedure to follow,
and their website seems to be empty.
