Is the Use Blacklist DNS Server(s) function working in SIMS ? Does anyone have much luck with it ?
Yes, indeed. I've used it for several years.

From another SIMS user I was given the following to put in the RBL Server List

rbl.maps.vix.com
relays.mail-abuse.org
blackholes.mail-abuse.org
dialups.mail-abuse.org
relays.ordb.org

Does anyone know if those still function or if there are different ones I should use instead ?
The mail-abuse.org lists are now subscription-based (you need to pay for access), and (so I've been told, largely ineffective. The maps.vix.com zone has been obsolete for several years.

I use the following lists, and have had good luck with them, but I suspect that they'll be rather too aggressive for most people.

relays.visi.com "See http://relays.visi.com/";
opm.blitzed.org "See http://blitzed.org/opm/";
sbl.spamhaus.org "See http://spamhaus.org/sbl/";
spews.relays.osirusoft.com "See http://spews.org/bounce.html";
cn-kr.blackholes.us "Mail from China/Korea not allowed."
brazil.blackholes.us "Mail from Brazil not allowed."
bl.spamcop.net "See http://spamcop.net/bl.shtml";

Many others will likely make suggestions about DNSbl's for one to use, though at the very least, I'd suggest relays.visi.com, opm.blitzed.org, and sbl.spamhaus.org. Some of these (i.e. opm.blitzed.org) return results other than 127.0.0.2. You'll need to add the results you want to reject in your blacklist (i.e. if one list returns "127.0.0.3", you'll need to enter 127.0.0.3 into your blacklist. I have 127.0.0.2-127.255.255.255 listed.)

Cheers!
