Back to topic: I could not find any code that implements handling of FUSEs, so that I had to change my patch. Simulavr treats the BREAK instruction as NOP now when no gdb session was established.
I've started with some changes conneted with handling of self programming code. And for this I've also started to read in fuses and to use it in some cases, where it's usefull. But this is work in progress. See my branch devel-tomk for details. Let me know, what's useful for you.
