R-R is only relevant for 2xx and certain 4xx responses; most UAC
implementations will probably create the Route only on getting a final
response.

I assume you mean here that the ACK does not have any Route headers, much
like the intial INVITE. In this case, the ACK will be sent to the Contact
listed in the 200 OK to the INVITE and thus it may NOT take the same path as
the INVITE.
