Acknowledge may or may not traverse the same path as the
invite.
If the proxy is only transaction stateful then Acknowledge may be
send
directly to the callee.
But if the Proxy has inserted Record-Route header and has
become
call stateful then Acknowledge must also traverse the same path as
the Invite.

the invite came from. what
are the pitfalls of sending the
acknowledgment directly to the caller???
(callee know the ip address
of the caller by now!!!)
