I have a question regarding "Attended Transfer" in
"draft-ietf-sip-service-examples-03.txt".
A--INVITE/OK/ACK--->B A calls B
A<-INVITE/OK/ACK----B B puts A on hold
B--INVITE/OK/ACK--->C B calls C
B--INVITE/OK/ACK--->C B puts C on hold
At F17, we have a refer:
A<-Refer-To:C-------B
A--Accepted-------->B F18
A--INVITE Replaces:B------------------->C F19
Now, for the initial A-to-B call, we have:
call-ID - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
A's tag - 1234567
B's tag - 23431
And for the B-to-C call, we have:
call-ID - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
B's tag - 8675309
C's tag - 5f35a3
In message F19 (passed from A to C), the Replaces header specifies:
call-ID - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
to-tag - 23431
from-tag - 8675309
Now, I thought that the Replaces header effectively says "the call I'm
specifying here is being replaced".
So, since the call being replaced is the "B-to-C call", I would expect the
"Replaces" header to have:
call-ID - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
to-tag - 8675309 (B's local tag for B-to-C call)
from-tag - 5f35a3 (B's remote tag for B-to-C call)
Then when the INVITE arrives, the "Replaces" header will match up with the
call for "B-to-C".
And the UA will silently accept the new call and shut down the replaced
[B-to-C] call.
yes? no?
