You should use CANCEL unless you want to terminate just a specific early dialog without affecting other branches (if the INVITE forked). CANCEL will terminate all dialogs & branches (assuming none have generated a final response). > Case BYE, is it correct that we eliminate the use of ACK ? That is not correct. A BYE will not change the INVITE processing. When you receive a final response to the INVITE, you still must send the ACK. If the dialog you send a BYE on is the only branch (i.e. no forking), you'll probably cause the UAS to send a 487 response (like it would if the INVITE was terminated with CANCEL). Either way you still have to send the ACK. > > Regards, > > Amihay Fuxbruner > System Engineering - Signaling R&D > Comverse > _______________________________________________ Sip-implementors mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.cs.columbia.edu/mailman/listinfo/sip-implementors
