Hi, I send a email with two questions, about SIP/MGCP interface. But I think that if I explain the context it would understood better.
About the work which I'm implementing, it's a VoIP service monitoring that include media and call establishment monitoring. In the call establishment scope, you can talk about the percentage of number of request failed, of number of call that have finalized with error or with permature way(resources failure), etc... The whole idea in fact, its to achieve a Service Level Agreement for an enterprise that will propose to their clients. My job is to create this SLA and the way of monitoring it(reading from MIB's,for example). This enterprise have some net's scenes and one of them implicate a SIP/MGCP interface. Then I must understand how they work to have some idea of their efficiency. Know, I'm considering the SIP-I and SIP-T (SIP variants)that's another item of my work( IP Multimedia Subsystem scope). So I realy need the translation of SIP to MGCP functions(and vice-versa). For example, for an INVITE request, what would be the MGCP comand that would be generated in the call agent?And where is the MGCP address in the INVITE request?Is there address translation?And other kind of things.
