Subject: Re: [Sip-implementors] SIP Authentication

Hi,

What you said is right, I can use the same If i have received a nonce
in the earlier message. But I was asking about the very first time, Can
we send an Authentication information with Invite to the Proxy?

Another question is, suppose the proxy challenge and authenticated the
UA using re-invite . Does the proxy authenticate the UA nexttime when it

send the invite? Is it mandatory to have auth information for all the
invite initated from the UA to proxy?

[ABN] for the first time u don't have anything to send, because u don't
know what is the nonce to be used to generate the response parameter in
authorization information...
AFAIK you can send the authorization information in the subsequent
requests within or outside the dialog....
If nonce life time expired (hence response param also invalid) the
proxy/server could challenge the re-invite or new requests with
credentials...

Thanks
Jijo
