I'll answer the second question first:
With this bulk call generator, the originating side is the endpoint
which is dialing (endpoint1). The terminating side is the endpoint
which is being called (endpoint2). The BCG monitors both sides of the
call to validate the connection is established correctly. If the
originator dials the wrong number (but still connects), then the
originating attempt increments, but the terminating attempt fails
(endpoint2 does not ring).
On to the first question:
When the BCG hangs up the call, it hangs up on both sides at (about) the
same time. So the BYE could originate from either endpoint1 or
endpoint2, depending on the timing of the BCG. If the call attempt is
completely successful, the source of the BYE should not be of any
concern.

Dear All,
I am running a test of Bulk call using a bulk call generator ameritec
ALG-A.
Scenario is like this that endpoint1 should make a call with endpoint 2
and after voice path check it should send a Bye.
But what I observe by the ethereal traces is when endpoint 1 calls
endpoint 2 call is established successfully but endpoint 2 sometimes
sends Bye to endpoint1 after establishing the call.
Can somebody suggest me, what could be the reason for this unexpected
Bye.
Second thing I wish to ask is that there are two fields on the call
generator, Originating Call Attempt and Terminating call attempt.
When I run the above mentioned script my perception is that originating
and terminating call attempts both are made by endpoint 1.
But on the call generator stats window say that originating call attempt
is made by endpoint1 and terminating by endpoint2.
Please clarify if someone has used it.
Thanks & Regards
Nitin Arora
