Hi, Dale You may try Sofia SIP plugin in your Gaim client, it supports SIMPLE which means IM and Presence service are both supported. By the way, you have to find a corresponding SIP server which supports the necessary features, such as registar, presence,etc I have tried Client-Client IM by this plugin, it works well.
