Thanks Sameer.

 I figured out what was wrong with my implementation.

 In the SIP.xml I had not mapped the method INVITE to my servlet, the result
was that there was nothing to take care of the invite method. This solved my
problem.

 <servlet-mapping>
     <servlet-name>ServiceController</servlet-name>
     <pattern>
       <equal>
        <var>request.method</var>
        <value>INVITE</value>
       </equal>
     </pattern>
   </servlet-mapping>

 Sending this so that others can view the solution.

 SIP ROCKS!!!

 Have a nice day.
 Thanks
 Best Regards,
 Shrikant
