I would like to get a mobile PSTN originated call to a VOIP/SIP-based audio bridge.
The MSC and MGW support ISUP and G.711 over TDM, or BICC and G.711 over IP when originating calls. I need to set up a call with a terminating platform supporting SIP/G.711. So it looks like the control part is the challenge. Should I just pay for an ISUP/SIP converter on the MSC network? Or can I use (e.g.) Asterisk on the IP network with an SS7 module and try to tweak it to support the BICC? Or am I missing something obvious (i'm quite new to the telephony parts)? Thanks and regards, Leigh _________________________________________________________________ Txt a lot?
