I have a practical question. SIP device subscribes to a SIP server, notifications are sent for some time and then server reboots. When this happens CSeq on server side is reset to 1. Next time SIP phone subscribes, server accepts a request but NOTIFY to the phone has CSeq = 1. This confuses the phone since CSeq is lower than the one received in a last NOTIFY before reboot. How can I avoid this problem? I am looking for a way to let phone know it is time for a new dialog and it should accept NOTIFYs with CSeq = 1. Can anybody suggest a best practice to overcome such problem? I was thinking of changing To tag in 200 OK response to a SUBSCRIBE request. Ideally, that should let SIP device know a new dialog is established. Not sure if this is a right logic though. Regards, Zarko Coklin
