Hi,

I think most people agree that if there is no Contact there is no early dialog 
- and that means no mid-dialog requests (e.g. BYE). One question is whether it 
should be mandatory to include Contact in 1xx (non-100) or not.

This is currently discussed in another thread on the SIP list ("[Sip] Contact 
header in 1xx responses/updates remote target ornot?"), so you may want to 
check that out.
