In fact I have proposed various tutorial topics to the EDU team, after I
organized a Diameter tutorial. I was turned down. I believe the argument
was something lke "folks participating in the IETF should obtain their
technical knowledge themself"

Ideally, I would like to have one of the SAML authors todo the SAML
tutorial part to have the best possible expertise in the room. I,
however, don't know whether Jeff is attending this IETF meeting.

Alternatively, I could also imagine that a podcast would help to get
things explained quite well.
