a Really Bad Case would be 5 seconds PDD, with more typical being on
the order of 1 second.
What will the caller be hearing until this gets done? Perhaps 180
could be returned, which would at least give *some* feedback.
You might hear a chime for "Return Routability Check completed".
Of course, if we were fixing this "right", it would be yet-another
precondition.
