Separately I think it would be awesome to have a feature for the
"receptionist" to turn on/off the AA and have the calls routed to
his/her line. It would be good if the boss calls a meeting they could
hit a button and go into AA mode and back again without too much fuss.
Something that can be done from the phone, even a * code. I think we can
do this with forwarding, but it would be good if this was able to be
achieved via a phone interface and not in the sipxconfig UI, making it
PC independent if possible.

I think this is more like a feature request though, but somewhat related
to this conversation.

I think it should be on any item as Tony mentioned.

While we're at it and I mentioned the AA in my e-mail, I still would
like to see some sort of ability to have a live extension / hunt group /
acd be able to be the daytime auto attendant with the night operation
flopping over to the night AA. At least now with the scheduled forwards
I can use a phantom to do this but with the ability to activate the
emergency AA remotely it would be nice to just be pointing inbound to
the Attendant dial plan entry.

Thanks,
   Mike

Unless you set up custom dial rule...

We already have an issue somewhere to add support for generic aliases.
But
I do not see why we cannot add more aliases to conferences.
What about other addressable entities: for now we only have explicit
aliases for users and AA (and even that is hidden in dial plan config).
Should we add explicit aliases for hunt groups, ACD lines etc?
Or just a generic aliasing capability?
D.
