Perhaps donations to the Open Source Community of SipFoundry, which is not owned by Nortel, is in order. Our loudest voice, I would think, is with our wallets to support the open source concept. SipFoundry's destiny is their own. And the user community plays a big part of their success or failure, regardless of other commercial opportunities.
The discussion of the future of Nortel, or Avaya, Mitel, or anyone else is really a mute point here. We don't control it, we don't effect it. But we do have a valid discussion on how we as a community will support the ongoing efforts of SipFoundry and its development of their open source products, as we can help to effect it in a positive way.
