And, as long as his ITSP is actually routing in on 5080. Do a packet capture on the outside interface of pfSense to verify!

That has been evidenced repeatedly by many others. 1. MOH should be disabled (the moh uri removed from the phone). 2. MOH can be enabled on sipxbridge. 3. Phone needs to be at formware 3.1.3RevC (not any version 3.2), bootrom 4.2. 4. Phones need to have a secondary line, unique to each phone, for hunt group use ONLY. I suspect it is a hunt group configuration. Hunt groups can also NEVER CALL THE SAME NUMBER MORE THAN ONCE in the configuration, there are several other no-no's, but if you do this, and your ITSP is not substandard, "it_will_always"work". Good luck. On Sat, Jan 2, 2010 at 3:48 PM, Picher, Michael <mpic...@cmctechgroup.com> wrote: And for that matter, pfSense isn't the problem... we know that works if setup properly. He needs to remove the moh from the phones, test without a hunt group, then ask for assistance on how to properly setup the hunt group. I've never seen an issue with tgis except for a hunt group config that "would_never_work" because of a lack of understanding on how it should be constructed. Hunt groups do have gotchas. ============================ Tony Graziano, Manager Telephone: 434.984.8430 Fax: 434.984.8431 Email: tgrazi...@myitdepartment.net LAN/Telephony/Security and Control Systems Helpdesk: Telephone: 434.984.8426 Fax: 434.984.8427 Helpdesk Contract Customers: http://www.myitdepartment.net/gethelp/ ----- Original Message ----- From: sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org <sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org> To: Chris Rawlings <cm.rawli...@gmail.com> Cc: sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org <sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org> Sent: Sat Jan 02 12:20:01 2010 Subject: Re: [sipx-users] OpenSource Firewall On Sat, 2010-01-02 at 11:52 -0500, Chris Rawlings wrote: > i am still having the issue where incomming calls routed to something > that has MoH the phones that are connected to the SipX PBX do not stop > ringing when an incomming caller hangs up before the call is picked > up. > > The phones will continue to ring for the duration of the MoH files > length and once the end of the MoH file has been reached the call > drops finally. Can you break that down into simple steps? How do you get to providing MoH while phones are ringing? What phones are you using? How are you connected to the outside caller (coming in a SIP Trunk from what provider, some gateway) ? _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-users sipXecs IP PBX -- http://www.sipfoundry.org/ _______________________________________________ sipx-users mailing list sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org List Archive: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users Unsubscribe: http://list.sipfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo/sipx-users sipXecs IP PBX -- http://www.sipfoundry.org/ -- ====================== Tony Graziano, Manager Telephone: 434.984.8430 Fax: 434.984.8431 Email: tgrazi...@myitdepartment.net LAN/Telephony/Security and Control Systems Helpdesk: Telephone: 434.984.8426 Fax: 434.984.8427 Helpdesk Contract Customers: http://www.myitdepartment.net/gethelp/ Why do mathematicians always confuse Halloween and Christmas?
