The "sip domain" will be "in" the configuration file presented to the phone
by sipx via sipxconfig. You do need to make sure the records are there as
suggested by the preflight check (DNS Advisor).

The phone doesn't necessarily use a search domain, just a sip domain to call
home and know where to get and send calls. Don't set anything manually in
the phone.
