Based on experience, do you guys prefer a Xeon or Pentium processor to run sipXecs? Would a dual Xeon 2.8 with 4 GB RAM be considered a strong system or should we go with a different blend? ________________________________________ As a general rule, processor power is not the limiting factor with sipXecs. Instead, memory size is the most important -- you really, really don't want swapping. However, 4 GB RAM should be enough unless you are doing very heavy voicemail. How many phones will the system serve? How many calls will be made in the busiest hour? How many voicemail sessions will be running at one time?
