You need to go from 3.10 to 4.0 first, you need to send the server profile and reboot the server. I've seen that too and had to go through each rpm finding that some had not been installed. ============================ Tony Graziano, Manager Telephone: 434.984.8430 Fax: 434.984.8431

Essentially the sipxsupervisor RPM didn't get downloaded. Had I had more time I would have been able to figure this out and understand it. However as I only have a limited amount of time to get this done, I figured I'd try 3.10 to 4.2 in case the upgrade process was a little easier. It looks like I'm almost there, just tripping over on this last bit. -----Original Message----- From: Tony Graziano [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, June 01, 2010 1:45 PM To: Pete Burgess; [email protected] Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Upgrade to 4.2 Failed Rather Badly You stopped and ensured everything was working in 4.0 before going to 4.2 and sent the server profile and rebooted the server? ============================ Tony Graziano, Manager Telephone: 434.984.8430 Fax: 434.984.8431 Email: [email protected] LAN/Telephony/Security and Control Systems Helpdesk: Telephone: 434.984.8426 Fax: 434.984.8427 Helpdesk Contract Customers: http://www.myitdepartment.net/gethelp/ ----- Original Message ----- From: Pete Burgess <[email protected]> To: Tony Graziano <[email protected]>; [email protected] <[email protected]> Sent: Tue Jun 01 13:43:59 2010 Subject: RE: [sipx-users] Upgrade to 4.2 Failed Rather Badly No luck there, I'm afraid. I did try going from 3.10.x to 4.0, but that had issues so I rolled back the snapshot and went to the latest stable. Yum failed to install the sipxsupervisor so I did a "yum install" on that but I've found some issues. Firstly, all my users are set to use the internal VM rather than ExchangeUM, but that's the least of my problems right now. My main issue is that I get the following message from sipxproc -l : Missing resource: process 'SipXrelay'. At this point I can't take calls. Sip Trunking is turned off, as are most non-essential services (ACD, IM, etc). Not sure where to start troubleshooting. Any suggestions ?
