Gerald We have nothing to hide and had open discussions with Avaya. Our preferred model is cooperation, under the assumption that everyone plays by the rules considered 'normal' for an open source project and defined in the SIPfoundry founding documents. With the main branch disappearing over a month ago, I don't think these basic rules are met anymore. Fixing this situation is what we are working on.
Maybe this would be the time where you could explain 'who are you?'. What stake do you have in this or what have you contributed to put you in a position to act and talk the way you do? --martin -----Original Message----- From: sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org [mailto:sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org] On Behalf Of Gerald Harper Sent: Tuesday, June 22, 2010 12:14 PM To: Todd Hodgen; 'Douglas Hubler'; 'Matt White' Cc: sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org Subject: Re: [sipx-users] is there an AVAYA branded/commercial solutionbasedonsipXecs? funny how everyone who is against talking about SCS vs sipXecs has an email address that ends with @ezuce.com I received this a few minutes ago; If you are interested in a supported / commercial version, we are in a position to provide you what you need. I am the original founder of SIPfoundry and left Nortel / Avaya back in December when Avaya came in. One of the key reasons was the lack of interest Avaya showed to continue with this product in an Enterprise positioning. We created a new company called eZuce to take this forward and make sure the project stays in open source. We will launch eZuce publicly in July. We offer support for sipXecs as well as a commercial version called openUC. Let me know if you'd like more info --martin So now I understand why people are saying Avaya is not moving forward with the project. -------------------------------------------------- From: "Todd Hodgen" <thod...@verizon.net> Sent: Tuesday, June 22, 2010 9:03 AM To: "'Gerald Harper'" <ger...@sustaa.com>; "'Douglas Hubler'" <dhub...@ezuce.com>; "'Matt White'" <mwh...@thesummit-grp.com> Cc: <sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org> Subject: RE: [sipx-users] is there an AVAYA branded/commercial solutionbasedonsipXecs? > This mailing list has just become unfriendly. > > I agree with Douglas, this is a list about the open source product.
