Sadly, it's been my experience that cheap video phones are just that, cheap. I'm assuming you meant the GXV3000, we bought several of these to test - the audio and video quality was sub-standard. From what I've heard about the Nortel 1535s, they aren't much better (if any).
We are now shelling out the big bucks for the polycom VVX1500 - there is no comparison in the quality of the phone. Trying to put video on a desktop hard to justify - even more so when the quality is so laughable.
