That would be correct for that phone.

If the phone does not support: Alert-Info: info=alert-autoanswer

it will not work. You have found your workaround already. At this point I am
not aware of a softphone that supports alert-info...

There is an external issue in the JIRA asking counterpath to support this,
but don't expect it on the free version if they do.
