Shall I make two issues in jira for this problem?

Subject: Re: [sipx-users] IM - MyBuddy

This sounds like a recursion problem.

Once "you said" all of your calls go to voicemail by setting your IM Status to
DND, even the calls from the CallControler/MyBuddy are going to VM.

So, no listen/pickup unless there's a way to start that call with some sort of
URI parameters or additional headers to bypass such case.

Does that make any sense?

Normally I use mybuddy with function like 'listen', 'pickup', 'call xxx
from work' and so on.
For these three examples sipXecs/mybuddy calls my phone, I pick it up
and the function I entered in mybuddy is followed (for example my phone
starts calling my mobile.)
When I set my status to DoNotDisturb (Away) on my IM client, the
functions: pickup and listen don't work, when I try listen it reports:
(4:16:26 PM) MyBuddy: 0612345678 (0612345678) is leaving a voice
message.
(4:16:29 PM) Henry Dogger: listen
(4:16:29 PM) MyBuddy: Ok
(4:16:30 PM) MyBuddy: My Assistant (MyAssistant) is leaving a voice
message.
Which seems weird to me, since cal xxx from work is still working, my
phone gets a call from mybuddy and when I answer I get transferred...

Pickup returns:
(4:19:25 PM) MyBuddy: 0612345678 (0612345678) is leaving a voice
message.
(4:19:28 PM) Henry Dogger: pickup
(4:19:28 PM) MyBuddy: Ok
(4:19:32 PM) MyBuddy: 0612345678 (0612345678) disconnected without
leaving a voice message.
(4:19:33 PM) MyBuddy: 0612345678 (0612345678) is leaving a voice
message.
(4:19:39 PM) MyBuddy: 0612345678 (0612345678) disconnected without
leaving a voice message.
The person which is entering my voicemail, hears the system telling him
to wait while he is being transferred, but ends up in voicemail again.
This seems to me as a situation which is not desired...
When I turn off the option "Voicemail on DnD" these problems don't occur
and pickup and listen just work like they are supposed to be.
I use a pidgin client to set my status with the xmpp protocol.

I am really curious if others can reproduce this, I'm running sipXecs
(4.4.0- 2011-06-22EDT12:09:21 ip-10-72-38-198) ran yum update sipXecs
before starting to configure the server. Perhaps some people on the list
can try this case and see if they get the same result?

Thanks in advance,
Henry
