davmail isn't really applicable. That's for multiple client types hitting Exchange.
What most really are looking for here is a means to synchronize voicemail from the Voicemail server in sipXecs to Exchange. The back-end integration would allow users to listen / delete their mail in exchange and have it extinguish their MWI on their phone and in reverse, listen to/delete their voicemail in sipXecs and have their message marked as read/deleted in Exchange. Right now the back-end Exchange integration works up through Exchange 2010 without SP1. Microsoft changed some things in 2010 SP1 that broke things again. We think you might be able to fix these signalling issues with a SBC. The other 'low-rent' sync was a user by user IMAP sync that worked in Exchange 2003 - 2007 (maybe). This solution does not scale very well. It was configured on a user by user basis and again broke when MS changed their IMAP stuff to eliminate the SEARCH function.
