Few questions to cut off odd cases:

1) Do you sure you're not using blocking functions inside callback function?
Particularly don't you use sipXtapi functions inside callback?

2) Do you sure this problem does not exist in latest sipXtapi branch?

3) What svn revision of sipXtapi-media-update branch do you use?
