If you choose to use it...
I am currently using the SipXTapiDotNet and it is VERY much worth it. I have met with Josh and Charlie in person and they have given me alot of help in getting my project together. The key thing to be concerned about (at least last time I was told) is that this is only for .Net 2005. Fortunately for me, my boss has the MSDN Universal Subscription, so we had it by default.
From the time I started until I could make a call, it took about 1½ days. When I asked about an example application, they were currently working on one. You would have to talk with them about the status. If it is not ready, the best thing to do is walk through PlaceCall and ReceiveCall, replacing the calls made there with the appropriate calls from SipXTapiDotNet. Using the Find function , search for where each particular function from sipXtapi is called and then replace that call with a SipXTapiDotNet call. I met with them in late July and we just released the Alpha product yesterday, a full-featured 1-line phone (sans encryption for now).
This wrapper is EXTREMELY straightforward and if for some unknown reason you cannot reach Charlie or Josh, I'll be happy to answer what questions I can about it.
