Read the compilation section of help, it explains why wxCommunicator 
currently doesn't run on linux. It shouldn't be a lot of work, but I 
currently don't have time to do it, as its not just compiling 
wxCommunicator but also testing sipxtapi in linux. I would welcome if 
somebody made it run on linux.

Post the patch for sipxezphone in jira bugtracker of sipfoundry. I 
wouldn't recommend adding any new features into sipxezphone as the 
architecture of the program is unnecessarily complicated and 
wxCommunicator is much ahead of sipxezphone in terms of functionality.

Also have a look at crosstalk - 
http://www.sgssoft.com/crosstalk/crosstalk.asp a softphone for windows 
from a guy named logan here in mailinglist. It's only for windows and 
doesn't have all the functionality of wxCommunicator but has nicer skin 
(I admit that!).
