Ahh -- My mistake - forget what I said about GIPS -- it's SPEEX and GSM that are enabled by default, not GIPS.
If you really need to, you can disable these features by editing the project-level preprocessor defines and taking out HAVE_SPEEX and HAVE_GIPS.
