This of course is how it always seems to unfold whenever you are trying to
demonstrate your work!! :)
On our development machines, and the machines that we have deployed to at work
we are able to hear audio with our prototype application.
We brought our working prototype out to a demonstration center and have
deployed the application on hardware at this center. We use the application to
place a call, everything seems fine except we dont hear any audio.
We tested the same call using xlite on the same demonstration machine. Xlite
plays audio just fine. I also have my laptop here with my full development
environment. I use it to make the same call and it plays the received audio
just fine.
So the following summarizes these experiments:
1] My laptop using sipxtapi based application: Connects, plays audio
2] Demonstration machine using xlite application: Connects, plays audio
3] Demonstration machine using sipxtapi based application: Connects, does not
play audio
At one point we thought this might be a firewall problem, but we have disabled
the firewall running on the machine.
I'm installing Wireshark to see if that helps. I will use it to see if RTP
packets are flowing.
Can you think of some other reason why everything seems fine in the
establishment of the call, but my application does not stream the audio, but
xlite on the same machine does?
Will it help if I send along the SIPX log file created by my application?
