Systemimager: 3.0.1-7 on debian system

We can automatically install the ia64 systems. We had overcome
some minor problems with:
  - mkcramfs, must support blocksize parameter else it defaults
to 4K and we need 16K (Is fixed in debian testing)
  - The autoinstall script generated by systemimager also uses
4k blocks for the filesystem. So it will fail to mount. Had
    to add: mkfs.xfs -f -q -b size=16k

At SARA we have also IA32 clusters and we have complete control over the installation process. On the the installation server we can decide if we want to reinstall the node, boot from the local disk or just run another program like memtest.

For IA64 systems the first boot device is the network card and
i want to acomplish the same as with the IA32 system. I can
install the system, but is there also an elilo.conf default
configuration that tells to boot from the local disk, just like
the local.cfg for PXELINUX:
   default harddisk
   label harddisk
     localboot 0

With the PXELINUX setup you do not have to know what kind of hardisk
or kernel you want to run.
