Hello Jason, I was experiencing a similar error during the reimaging process after booting from our PXE server. It turns out I was using the standard kernel that came with systemimager and this didn't see the hard disk.
You can grab the right kernel and initrd.img from /var/lib/systemimager/images/IMAGENAME/etc/systemimager/boot Copy those into your /tftpboot directory and try again.
