Have you tried dragging the little icon next to the file-name on the  
window?  That is a fully functional icon, so you can drop it into a  
Mail message really easily.  Then you don't need to find the file on  
disk.  Sorry if that was obvious, but it is how I do it.  I think it  
works in all Cocoa apps, and I think you have to have just saved the  
file (ie can't drag it if there are unsaved changes).
