The selection gets drawn on all pages, and is active (highlighted) only on
the current page (as PDFKit tells us). This is because the selection can act
on all pages, e.g. for cropping. If you can scroll, than usually you can
change the current page by scrolling. Otherwise, it may not be possible, and
I don't really know a way out. But that is only with Facing Pages. So if you
want to copy you better use some other display mode.
