With Skim, I used to annotate PDFs with text notes, then export the document to
a document file on my mac; when I later opened the document, the text note was
right there: opaque yellow note with the text I added. Sometime within the
last few months the background color of the text note stopped showing up on my
exported document. Just the text I’d written: if it was in black, it was hard
to find at all and, if I placed the text note over any text, I had black text
on black text. Changing the font color makes the text easier to notice, but I
still have text-on-text, nearly impossible to read. Nothing I’ve tinkered
with, including changing the text note color from default yellow has helped.
What’s wrong and or what can I do to see the background color my text notes in
my saved documents?
