When I call my own local land line number from Skype, it would appear not to work, as my caller ID says 0000. I rang a friend in the US and they said my US Skype in number showed on their caller ID. However, once verified, turning caller ID on and off can be done freely in the account settings. Of course, as I've said before, turning it on doesn't seem to help even if you wanted to show it, it probably won't, so I wouldn't worry.
