Hi!
I couldn't agree more that Skype's interface is not accessible since version
1.0 because developers wanted their app to look shiny and fancy. There's a
bunch of applications which uses normal windows and objects set by Windows
Classic standard with which you are able to work by tabbing and arrowing and
which don't need any additional scripting. Skype could be designed that way
and only script intervention would be chat recognizing and automation of
reading incoming chat, maybe few more things for reading actual history with
Alt + numbers etc.
Unfortunately for all of us, it is not, hardly it will ever be and there's
nothing we can do but accept the situation for what it is and be grateful to
Doug for script developing.
Or... We can install Miranda and use the Skype API plugin and try to find
out what can we do with it. I used it few years ago for chatting because it
was more accessible than scripts in that time, I think that was somewhere
about Skype 2.0 or 2.5. I know that Hrvoje still uses this workaround from
time to time, maybe he could shed some light on it. I doubt that Miranda can
replace all of the Skype functions and that it's hard to configure, but...
