Let me make only a pair of precisations to the procedure mentioned by Jim,
which in general is correct as always:
1. the ctrl+numbers command will only work if the scripts are installed;
2. the point which says spacebar to select is only alid in default view. If
using compact view, you'll have to open the chat window instead, pressing
the applications key then choosing send IM.
